A construction procurement platform for residential and commercial contractors is expanding to Ottawa, offering same-day material delivery.

Toolbx simplifies what has traditionally been a time-consuming, paper-driven task, bringing material procurement to mobile or desktop while providing price transparency and bulk buying solutions.

“It streamlines project purchasing while also getting them materials fast so they can stop wasting time on supply runs and focus on building,” Harrison da Costa, Toolbx city manager for Ottawa, said in a release.

The platform officially launched in Ottawa last month. The Canadian capital is its second city served, following its home base of Toronto.

Toolbx says its platform gives contractors the ability to spend more time building as opposed to sourcing material and helps construction firms address challenges tied to COVID and rapidly rising material costs.
